Guidelines for planning Battletech scenarios and campaigns
- We're assuming you have a general knowledge of the universe and know the basic story line.
- When planning the campaign, try to follow events that had happened but you may want to continue the story line from where it left off- about 3062.
- If you can, make the briefings on the computer in a high tech sci-fi style, in programs such as Powerpoint or 3D Studio Max.
- Remember, one of the keys to having a good time on gameday, is a good atmosphere- background music, appropriate names for mechwarriors and commanders, etc. The GM can
make radio transmissions in the middle of the game from the dropship above, or the regimental commander, to each side to further cause battlefield chaos.
- Mech against Mech battle is bland. Use supporting forces like infantry and vehicles as well.
- If you have Mechwarrior RPG, use it and play out the battles the evolve out of the storyline.
